I agree with John that the terms "code" and "statement" pretty much cover
the map. But, what about such information that is a combination of those
two? E. g., "First Edition L-Y." (Another actual example.) In such a case,
a term such as "string" would seem required. One assumes that if a term
actually makes it into a thesaurus it will have a scope note.
Might be a good opportunity to define "slug," as well.
