Am trying to establish the background and value to the following
publication. As follows:-
An album of miniatures and illuminations from the Baysong hori
manuscript of the ...... ahnameh of Ferdowsi, completed in 833
A.H/A.D. 1430, and preserved in the Imperial Library, Tehran.
Intro. & commentary y Basil Gray. Published Tehran : Central Council
of the Celebration of the 2500th Anniversary of the Founding of the
Persian Empire by Cyrus the Great, 1971. 116p. plates. etc.
Was this given to selected people or sold or....
Note. Its a limited(?) edition of 5000. (In Australia thats a
reasonable print run.)
