Framing Symposium Sunday, 13 April 2008 1 2:30 to 4pm (Please note date change. The event has been moved to a Sunday allowing greaterparticipation of picture framers.) at Arcadia, 680 8th Street, San Francisco, 94103
|
This half-day framing symposium is offered in honor Paul Frederick, framer and long-time supporter of BAACG and the PPFA. It will bring together framing professionals and conservators to discuss issues of common concern. Many picture framers are presented with projects requiring the assistance of an art conservator. These projects range from framing works on paper, canvas, textiles and objects of all types. Many framers have not had the opportunity to develop understanding of the conservation resources available to them and their clients. Attendees are invited to bring examples of art and framing to facilitate conversation and questions. Do not miss this opportunity to help framers identify qualified projects and set client expectations for art preservation. A light lunch and refreshments will be served at 12:30 with the symposium to follow at 1:00pm. To register for the event email Michael Graves by April 9th at mvgraves@arcadiaframing.com BAACG members who are unable to attend this event but are interested in working more with framers and their clients are welcome to send a business cards and brochures to Michael at Arcadia (address above) for distribution.
